3. DP, each of the following named Officer Candidate Students, have been appointed a Second Lieutenant in the Arm of the United States is ordered to AD at this station, effective March 4, 1943. On that date each officer is asgd to the Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, Oklahoma and WP to Pittsburg, Kansas, reporting upon arrival thereat to the Commanding Officer, AAF Liaison Pilot School, not later than 2100Z, March11, 1943 on Temp duty for a period of ten (10) weeks for the purpose of pursuing the basic flying training course. Upon completion of this temp duty, each officer will return to this station. PAC Par 17, AR 625-5, a delay of five (5) days, in addition to authorized travel time is authorized in int pub serv. Each officer will rank fr March 4, 1943. The duty at Pittsburg, Kansas being of a temporary nature, dependents of officer will not accommodate them.           Pursuant to a letter from Headquarters, Army Ground Forces, 27 March 1943, XV Corps and movement orders 74th Field Artillery Brigade 31 March 1943 the Battalion was relieved from assignment to Third Army and assigned to the Replacement and School Command and attached to the School Troops Brigade, The Infantry School, effective upon arrival at Fort Benning, Georgia.
